Mike Mignola gets back to playing with the paranormal with his upcoming 2-issue mini-series Hellboy: The Island.
It's been years since Mignola handled both art and scripting chores for Hellboy. He hasn't been involved since Hellboy hit the theaters. But now Mignola has announced his return. Fans of the red-skinned hero will last remember in 2001's The Third Wish that Hellboy left behind the B.P.R.D. for even stranger places.
As the latest title suggests, Hellboy finds himself stranded on an island that's haunted by singing dead men. And to make matters worse, he chooses to ignore good advice from an ancient enemy. Watch for it in July.
