We get a boatload of news from horror filmmakers, musicians, writers, and artists each week. We unfortunately
don't have the staff to get a news angle on all of them but it's still stuff we think you'd be interested in. So as a means to
get you the same news they send us, we're going to use this place for their press releases.

Horror Business Premieres at Visionfest
Anyone with aspirations in independent horror filmmaking would do well to attend the world premiere of Christopher P. Garetano's documentary Horror Business when it kicks off the Fright Night lineup at VisionFest 05: The Other Festival (New York City’s Tribeca Cinemas - 54 Varick Street) Friday, July 22.
The first full-length feature from Garetano, whose short Inside was seen on Fangoria's Blood Drive DVD, Horror Business is a look into the lives of guerrilla fright filmmakers and a wry analysis of the passions and desires which compel them to strive for the top, whether they fail or triumph at their tasks. The documentary features interviews with genre personalities such as Sid Haig, Joe Bob Briggs, Herschell Gordon Lewis and Fango’s own Tony Timpone, along with day-in-the-life segments focusing on indie filmmakers Mark Borchardt (American Movie), Ron Atkins and others. Many of the directors interviewed in Horror Business will be in attendance at the premiere. You can find out more about the documentary at its official website. www.visionfest.com
