Really Scary Cool Stuff

The amount of stuff hitting stores shelves for horror fans is almost overwhelming. There are amazingly detailed action figures (just check out Sideshow Toys terrific Twilight Zone and Outer Limits lines), trading cards, comics, books, DVDs, models, and tons and tons more. We wish we could buy it all but that whole 'buying means having money to pay' part keeps getting in the way. Here's the latest!

Please remember we don't actually sell this stuff, we just drool over it. But if you're looking for some of these things, click on the Entertainment Earth banner and support Really Scary by buying from them. Thanks!

Fables #1
Writer Bill Willingham; art by Lan Medina and Steve Leialoha; variant covers by James Jean (painted) and Alex Maleev

A new Vertigo series takes a decidedly dark spin on familiar fairy tale characters. Led by Snow White, a reformed Bigby Wolf, and a slew of others, the secret community of Fabletown is adjusting to life among the "mundanes." But this is no fairy tale, and when Snow White's estranged sister, Rose Red, goes missing - her apartment a grizzly, bloody scene - it's up to her sister and Mr. Wolf to find the culprit. But the question remains, will they find Rose intact, or will the cryptic message on her wall come true: "No More Happily Ever After?"

In stores May 8. MATURE READERS FC, 32 pg, $2.50

Spawn: Book of the Dead
Writer Steve Niles, art and cover by Ashley Wood

The secret history of the Hellspawn is divulged with comprehensive text by Hellspawn writer Steve Niles. This is the Spawn bible: The Book of the Dead is a must-have for collectors and an indispensable guide to those who have always wondered, but were too afraid to ask.

In stores the week of May 22nd. FC, 72pg, $14.95

Warren Ellis' Atmospherics
by Warren Ellis & Ken Meyer

Warren Ellis and painter Ken Meyer unleash a totally re-mastered version of this terrifying alien tale that has been out of print for many years and never before collected into one graphic novel.

She's in a hospital. Except it may be a police station. She's been traumatized. Or she's been arrested. She's the only living witness of a cattle-mutilation style attack on humans. Or she's a multiple killer who has a psychotic reaction to heroin use, and she may not survive discovering who she really is. This deluxe square bound graphic novel also features all the stunning paintings Ken Meyer produced for the series (many of which have never seen print), plus a special section focusing on how Ken creates his work, and a new introduction by Warren Ellis!

MATURE READERS SC, 48pg, b&w, $5.95

Warren Ellis' Atmospherics HC with Sketch
