Variety reports Quentin Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez's double feature Grindhouse will be released as two separate movies in the U.K. The original plan was to run Grindhouse as a double bill in the U.K. and Australia with other territories getting Tarantino's Death Proof and Rodriguez's Planet Terror separately. Momentum Pictures will release Death Proof in U.K. theaters on Sept. 21. A release date for Planet Terror, which will also go out via Momentum, has not yet been set.
Tarantino takes a longer version of "Death Proof" than appeared in U.S. cinemas as part of Grindhouse to the Cannes Film Festival next month, where it will screen in competition.
