David Lynch's Inland Empire Almost Complete Empire reports David Lynch's next feature film, Inland Empire - which began its life as a project on his website - is close to completion. Having started without a script, the film is currently in post production, where details about the films plot are still typically fuzzy.
We know that it is 'a mystery about a woman in trouble' (which was also the basic premise for Mulholland Drive), and stars Laura Dern, Justin Theroux, Harry Dean Stanton, Julia Ormond and Jeremy Irons.
"I can't say what elements will end up in the final edit," says producer Mary Sweeney, "but it's a project he's been shooting over the course of the past three years." The film will be shot on digital, with Lynch going as far as to suggest he is 'done with film', because of the enormous possibilities that DV brings.

Serling's appearance will be created from old footage and voiced by actor Mark Silverman. The network said that Silverman is the only voice actor recognized by the Serling estate. Serling will explain how viewers will know when to put on the red-and-blue glasses needed to view the episode's 3-D segments. Um, ok. Kinda hope this doesn't become a trend though.
Updates for Nightmares & Masters of Horror Mick Garris dropped Fangoria a note updating his participation with TNT's currently filming Nightmares & Dreamscapes: From the Stories of Stephen King. Apparently Garris had to bow out of Nightmares & Dreamscapes after IDT greenlit another batch of the Garris-created/produced Masters of Horror. "I adapted [King's 1993 short story] 'Home Delivery' for Nightmares & Dreamscapes and will direct it eventually," Garris said. "But with Masters of Horror going for a second season...I won't be directing it this year."
The Masters of Horror second season pick-up is also great news for all us F. Paul Wilson fans as it looks like his story Pelts may now get a MoH treatment as we mentioned a bit back.
