Cthulhu & Elder Scrolls Videogame Deals

Eurogamer reports 2K Games, Take-Two's new publishing label, is set to co-publish The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion after its mother-publisher struck a deal with developer Bethesda Softworks, who will continue to direct development and retain all future rights to the franchise.

2K Games has undertaken to publish Oblivion in late 2005 on PC and "a next-generation console system" - presumably Xbox 2, since neither of the others will be out in that timeframe.

In a separate deal with Bethesda, 2K Games has also agreed to co-publish Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth, a Lovecraftian first-person horror game.

"Do you know what's Really Scary? You want to forget something. Totally wipe it off your mind. But you never can. It can't go away, you see. And... and it follows you around like a ghost."
--Eun-ju, A Tale of Two Sisters

'Well, we need to nip this thing in the bud. I mean, otherwise, things are going to get Really Scary.'
--Cordelia Chase, Buffy the Vampire Slayer

'From here on, it gets Really Scary.'
--Geoffrey Rush, House on Haunted Hill

    'Wanna see something Really Scary?'
--Dan Aykroyd, Twilight Zone The Movie
