    Shyamalan Documentary Involvement? 

    Here's a bit more regarding the M. Night Shyamalan brewhuhu we mentioned yesterday. A bunch of news sites are running the AP piece, including folks like MSNBC and the like. We can't help it, blame it on our suspicious nature but this feels like marketing to us. Sci Fi Channel even ran a press release about it on PRNewswire. So talking about themselves, they had these comments in the press release:

    In an unprecedented move, SCI FI Channel will broadcast a controversial look at Academy Award-nominated writer/director M. Night Shyamalan

    SCI FI Channel viewers will witness extraordinary unguarded moments, as well as attempts by the acclaimed filmmaker to shut down the production.

    Sounds the teensiest bit like 'reality' TV -- and we all know that's never staged. Anyhoo, to had fuel to our fire (like we needed that), we just received a tip. This comes from a source we've not heard from before so we don't the reliability but here's what the tipster had to say:

    "M. Night Shyamalan is actually the producer and writer of the documentary The Buried Secret of M. Night Shyamalan. The news stories currently circulating are designed to cover up Shyamalan's involvement (bank-roling and creative control) of the documentary about him."
